Some clearing up to do...

Résultats de recherche d'images pour « imperial walker »
Just a quick note: the Imperial Walkers (AT-ATs) are pronounced ay-tee-ay-tee (you say every letter). It's an abbreviation, you don't pronounce it as if it were "Atat"(which is really hard to say! Seriously, try it!)
If you still won't accept the terrible truth, how do you pronounce AT-RT? Atrt?
Just something that I was desperately longing to clear up.
But to make your life easier, and to talk Star Wars without sparking debates that will go on all night, you can just say Imperial Walkers. They actually never say "AT-AT' in the movies.

Who is Rey (2)?

Many people have complained that Rey being Luke or Han's daughter was too easy and that it would be such an obvious reveal in Episode VIII. So a new theory has emerged: could Rey be... Palpatine's granddaughter?

Okay, you might be thinking "this is going WAY too far, this is too far-fetched to be true." But this theory actually makes perfect sense...
In "The Force Awakens", Maz Kanata tells Rey that her parents "are never coming back". It would be odd that a force-sensitive character such as Maz say that Rey's parents are dead when Luke and Han, the suspected fathers, are both still alive. It is, therefore, improbable that Rey's parents are characters that appeared in the Force Awakens, they are most likely already dead. That would also explain why Leia and Han do not recognize Rey.

Furthermore, Rey is a very powerful force user, which means that her ancestors were as well. But Jedi, according to the Jedi Code, were not allowed to be married or be in a relationship. Which only leaves us... a Sith Lord?

Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.
The Force shall free me.

The word "passion" is what interests us in the Sith code. Unlike the Jedi code (There is no passion, there is serenity), the Sith Code not only allows, but encourages passion, if not love.
So why Palpatine? There are many arguments to prove this point that will completely change the way you see Rey... (Credits to VincentVendetta)

First, there are their fighting styles, which are similar in every way. They are the ONLY known characters in the Star Wars universe to use the "forward thrusting stab". The battle between Palpatine and Mace Windu and the battle between Rey and Kylo Ren are introduced with this move:

This move is also used by both characters.
Rey's fighting style was inspired by another's, and it has to be the emperor's. The two battles are almost identical; in both cases, a Palpatine wins.
This duel is Rey's first experience using a lightsaber; however, she triumphs over a powerful dark side user (Kylo Ren) who has had many years of training. What if her ancestor was the one guiding her hand that night? You can clearly see the great anger that lives inside her, as she is drawing strength from it. She experiences a powerful pull to the dark side. In the official book version of the Force Awakens, it is said that Rey hears a voice in her head saying "Kill him" after Kylo Ren has been stricken down. Could this be her grandfather's voice, pulling her to the dark side, influencing her just as he influenced Anakin Skywalker during his fight with Count Dooku?

If this isn't a dark-sided influence, I don't know what it is.

Next, Rey and Palpatine are the ONLY two characters in the Star Wars universe to have an English accent. This is extremely significant, for J.J Abrams asked John Boyega (an English actor), playing Finn, to take an American accent, while he told Daisy Ridley, playing Rey, to keep her original English accent.
Furthermore, her abandonment on Jakku makes sense. We could assume that Luke (aware of her affiliation with the Palpatine family) took her to Jakku so that she wouldn't be found by Snoke who was trying to lure Kylo Ren to the dark side. Luke wouldn't want such a powerful force user on Snoke's side.

Rey being abandoned on Jakku, held by Unkar Plutt
Also, Palpatine's voice is in Rey's force vision! We hear very distinctly the words "...any Jedi", which is a reference to what Palpatine tells Anakin in Episode III: "Only through me can you achieve a power greater than any Jedi." MAJOR clue. Nothing to say here.

And finally, this plot twist would make the story so much more interesting! The Skywalker v.s Palpatine war has always been at the center of Star Wars (Luke Skywalker versus Sheev Palpatine) now imagine this: Kylo Ren-Skywalker versus Rey Palpatine! The Dark side would be embodied by a Skywalker, and the Light side by a Palpatine. The whole mechanics would be switched around, which is far from boring. Now we just need to see whether Rey is seduced to the Dark side by Kylo Ren-Skywalker, just like Anakin was seduced by Palpatine...

A Problem with Episode VIII?

Episode VIII is currently in production, as it was announced by a teaser video posted February 15, 2016. In this video, the scene that is being shot resembles exactly the one that ends "The Force Awakens." We have confirmation that Episode VIII will be starting exactly where Episode VII ended, as revealed by Daisy Ridley (Rey): When we went back to Skellig to do the opening of VIII, it was so crazy doing the same scene with a different crew of people.

This has never been done in the Star Wars saga, and it leaves us with a big problem: what will be written in the three paragraphs of the opening crawl?

Between every Star Wars episode, there is at least a gap of a few years. The opening crawl is here to explain what happened between two episodes, and eventually set the stage the movie it introduces. So here, as there is no gap between VII and VIII, how is Lucasfilm going to fill the mandatory and iconic three paragraphs of the crawl?

The crawl will, in this case, have to kickstart the new episode by setting the scene. Here are a few events that could have taken place after Han Solo's death (in Episode VII), apart from the scene between Luke and Rey, that were left untold in the Force Awakens:
- Han Solo's funeral
- Resistance or First Order victory (information about the war)
- R2D2 has more information?
- Kylo Ren and General Hux's journey to Supreme Leader Snoke

This is purely speculation, and leaves an open question! Tell me what you think will be in the crawl and what the new movie's title will be...

Test- Which Jedi are you?

Take this test to know which Jedi of the Old Republic you most resemble!

QUESTIONS:

1- Would you rather…
  • Be thrown off a 200-story building
  • Live in exile for 25 years
  • Get burned by lava

2- What do you value most?
  • Power
  • Wisdom
  • Skill

3- What color would your lightsaber be?
  • Green
  • Blue
  • Purple

4- In a battle, do you:
  • jump right in without thinking
  • arrive with reinforcements to save the others
  • lead your army and try to take out the opposing leaders

5- What is your worst fear?
  • You have none; fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, and hate leads to suffering.
  • That the Jedi Council will be overthrown by the Senate
  • Losing your loved ones

6- Do you believe in the prophecy of the Chosen One bringing balance to the Force?
  • I doubt it is true. We need to concentrate on keeping the republic united, not rely on old, and perhaps false, prophecies to save us.
  • The dark side clouds everything; impossible to see the future is.
  • Yes! And I should be the one to fulfill it!

RESULTS:

Blue: You are like Anakin! You are ambitious and crave power more than anything. Careful not to turn to the dark side! Nonetheless, you are kind and you feel love is an important part of life.

Green: You are like Yoda! Peace and wisdom are most important for you, you stay calm in almost every possible situation. You are very patient but tough.
Purple: You are like Mace Windu! You are a strategic and observant person. You are also a very skilled Jedi and a great leader.

WHO is Finn?

In Star Wars "The Force Awakens", we get a good idea of where stormtroopers actually come from. Finn has been stolen from his family as a young boy to be trained as a First Order Stormtrooper. Episode VIII is not far away, so we can start asking ourselves: who was his family?
What mostly guides us in speculations is the fact that Finn is black; there are a few well-known characters in the Star Wars universe that are, so we will be studying them.

Lando Calrissian
The first (and major) theory is that Finn is Lando Calrissian's son. Technically, it is possible because Episode VII happens 25 years or so after the battle of Endor, which is close to Finn's age. Lando may have had a baby just after the downfall of the Empire. Because he helped Leia and Luke escape from the Empire's grip in Episode V, we can assume that the Empire "blacklisted" Calrissian for his betrayal. While recruiting stormtroopers, the First Order may have chosen in priority the people who had been out of favor or betrayed the Empire. Let us not forget that Kylo Ren worships Darth Vader; he may have wanted to avenge his grandfather by taking the son of the man who had betrayed him (This could be the reason why Kylo Ren immediately thinks of Finn in the beginning of the Force Awakens, when Phasma asks who the rebellious stormtrooper is). Furthermore, we don't know wether Lando Calrissian is dead or not, we may see him in future movies.
To further support this theory, this jigsaw puzzle on the right was listed on amazon. The title indicates Finn is Lando's son, which is either a major clue, or just a mistake coming from a person who assumed Finn was Lando's son just because of the color of his skin.

No last names have been revealed for Finn or Rey, and director J.J. Abrams told Entertainment Weekly, “I will only say about that it is completely intentional that their last names aren’t public record.”
We can assume that if Finn's last name is being hidden, it implies it's significant (same for Rey).

Finn could also be the grandson of Master Jedi Mace Windu. That could explain the fact that Finn can decently handle a lightsaber. Sadly, this theory is highly improbable, for jedi are not allowed to marry, and Windu was the head of the Jedi Council.
Finally, could Finn be related to Captain Panaka from Episode I...? We shall see!

The perfect order in which to watch Star Wars

Every Star Wars fan is, at least once in their lives, confronted to this challenge: in what order should I show Star Wars to my friends or family? This is, in my opinion, the best order in which to watch the series and why:

1) Episode IV - A New Hope

2) Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back

3) Episode II - Attack of the Clones

4) Episode III - Revenge of the Sith

5) Episode VI - Return of the Jedi

6) Episode VII - The Force Awakens

7) Episode VIII - The Last Jedi

8) Episode IX - ?

First, as you can see, I got rid of  Episode I - The Phantom Menace. When you think back, it's not actually that important in the storyline: You never see Qui-Gon again, and he is only mentioned once in the other movies, where he is referred to as Obi-Wan's master. Again, Darth Maul is actually NEVER mentioned again, and he barely speaks in Episode I (he says, what, 3 lines??). Also, we are spared the midi-chlorian science-thingy that makes the Force not cool anymore. Furthermore, we don't have the huge age gap between Padme and Anakin we see in Episode I, which is really weird considering the get married in Episode II. Finally, probably the most important thing... WE LOSE JAR JAR BINKS!! He only appears for 1 minute in Episode II.
You can watch Episode I if you want between Episode V and II, but, let's face it, it’s not a very good movie and not at all important in the story.

The problem with watching the movies in Episode order is that you lose the huge revelation of Episode V (SPOILER ALERT!) that Darth Vader is Luke's father. By starting by A New Hope, you get to savor this massive plot twist. Then, by coming back to Episodes II and III (which now acts as a big flashback), you get to go through Anakin's path of how he became Darth Vader, knowing that eventually he will turn to the Dark Side. For someone who has never seen Star Wars, this is an interesting perspective to explore. We see Obi-Wan again, and many familiar characters such as Yoda. Then, by watching Episode VI, we see Luke again, and he looks very much like Darth Vader...
By watching the movies in this order, we can actually doubt the fact that Luke will stay good: will he turn to the Dark Side like his father, as the emperor is taunting him just like Anakin in the prequels?
This makes you see the story in a whole new different way.

Then, after Episode VI, you can go on and watch VII, and later VIII and IX (when they are released).

The top 5 scenes with C-3PO

Everyone loves C-3PO for his awkwardness and fearful manner... Her are the top 5 C-3PO moments!

#5: A New Hope: Over the comlink, C-3PO hears Han, Leia and Luke laugh hysterically, it sounds like they are screaming.

C-3PO: Listen to them, they're dying, R2! Curse my metal body, I wasn't fast enough, it's all my fault!

#4: A New Hope: R2 D2 and Chewbacca are playing Dejarik, and R2 wins.

Han: It's not wise to upset a Wookie.
C-3PO: But sir, nobody worries about upsetting a droid.
Han: That's 'cause droids don't pull people's arms out of their sockets when they lose. Wookies are known to do that.
C-3PO: I see your point, sir. I suggest a new strategy, R2. Let the Wookie win.

#3: The Empire Strikes Back: C-3PO interrupts Han and Leia kissing

C-3PO: Sir, Sir, I've isolated the reverse power flux coupling
Han: Thank you. thank you very much.
C-3PO: Oh, you're perfectly welcome sir.

#2: The Empire Strikes Back: The asteroid on which the Falcon lands is shaking.

C-3PO: Sir, it's quite possible this asteroid is not entirely stable.
Han: Not entirely stable. I'm glad you're here to tell us these things. Chewie! Take the Professor in the back and plug him into the hyperdrive!

#1: The Empire Strikes Back: The Millenium Falcon heads straight towards a Star Destroyer.

C-3PO: The odds of successfully surviving an attack on an Imperial Star Destroyer are approximately...
Leia: Shut up!

WHO is Rey?

SPOILER ALERT for those who have not seen the latest Star Wars! If you are one of these people, you ought to be ashamed of yourself! Now go straight to the movies!

Are you back? Okay. Continue reading now.

You are probably asking yourselves the same question as everyone: WHO is Rey? Where does she come from? Who are her parents? Now, no one can know for sure, as it is not mentioned explicitly in the movie. However, some clues inserted in the film can help us speculate.
As Rey is force-sensitive, it would make sense that she has ancestors that were force sensitive. Usually this "trait" or "gene" is transmitted from generation to generation (for example the Skywalker family). We know that "The Force Awakens" takes place 30 years or so after the battle of Endor. At this time, the only remaining Jedi is Luke, and her sister who is also force sensitive. So Rey is either Luke's daughter or Leia's daughter. She could also be a random force-sensitive character, equal to the padawans (recruited by the jedi) of the prequel trilogy, but it doesn't seem very probable, given what follows. There are many arguments to prove each point, so now I present to you the two theories!

The first theory is that Rey is Han Solo and Leia Organa's daughter. Now, we know she has been on Jakku for a very very long time, probably abandoned there as a child. In her force vision at Maz Kanata’s palace, she is seen as a little girl looking at a leaving spaceship. If that is the case, Han most likely does not know about Rey being his daughter, for he would have realized it during the time they spent together (most of the movie). As in Star Wars, history keeps repeating itself, Leia might have wanted to hide Rey form the First Order to protect her, just like Luke and Leia were hidden from Darth Vader. Also, we know Kylo Ren (born Ben Solo) is Leia and Han's son. Don't you think the names Ben and Rey look and sound the same? If this theory is true, the two are actually brother and sister. Maybe, just like Luke and Leia were twins, Rey and Ren are twins, and it would make sense that they both bear a similar name. Another major argument is that Rey manoeuvres perfectly the Millenium Falcon without previous experience. She herself seems amazed that she managed. This could prove that a part of Han Solo's piloting instincts were given to her. If this theory is correct, Rey got her Force sensitivity from her mother Leia and her amazing piloting skills from her father Han.

The second theory is that Rey is the daughter of Luke, the lost Jedi. If that is true, her Force sensitivity comes from him. First off, we can say she pretty much had the same history as Luke: she grew up on a desert planet, Jakku, just like Luke who grew up on Tatooine. Then he leaves the planet... aboard the Millenium Falcon! Throughout "A New Hope" and "The Force Awakens, Luke and Rey discover the force and learn to harness it. Both movies end with them having defeated the Dark Side: Luke blows up the first Death Star and Rey wins her duel with Kylo Ren. They both use the force to accomplish it. These similarities between their paths could be clues that they are actually father and daughter. Furthermore, during the scene in Maz Kanata's castle, the great connection between Rey and the Skywalker lightsaber is revealed: it is as thought the lightsaber "recognizes" her as being part of the Skywalker family. We know very little about Maz Kanata and how she is in possession of the saber (lost by Luke in "The Empire Strikes Back"), but it is clear she has great knowledge of the Force. We also know she is more than a thousand years old, so she has lived through the events of the prequel and original trilogies. She probably has information on Rey's parentage, and will become very important in episodes 8 and 9. In ending scene of episode 7, we do not know if Luke recognizes Rey, so maybe that part was left out for a reason: to create suspense for the viewers.

There is also another possibility: Could Rey have been conceived by midi-chlorians, just like Anakin Skywalker (episode 1)... Maybe, who knows?
Tell me what you think is the most probable theory in the comments!
